FOG

Believe it or not? ........  We woke up to a foggy morning and drove in fog along the Pacific Coast for several hours.....so much for enjoying the coastal views!  Next time!

Foggy Oregon's Pacific Ocean Beach Coast

Our day today was to travel the Oregon Pacific Coast and visit Bandon Dunes - a Golf Resort.  There are five courses located at Bandon Dunes.  Their catch-phrase is, "Golf as it was meant to be...."
There are no golf carts.  You can walk and have a Bandon Dunes push or pull cart of your own or "hire" a caddie.  You have to walk the courses.  It is recommended that you play with one of their caddies.

We enjoyed the Pro Shops and a sandwich at the grill.

Ten years ago Phil and our oldest son met with one of our Oregon lumber suppliers. They took Phil and C. to Bandon Dunes for a day of golf.  They played on the Pacific Dune course at Bandon Dunes.  On the 18th hole, a par 5, our son came up to his tee shot playing 591 yards and birdied the hole.
Great Shot!

Loading Wood Chips on a Ship for Export.  There were bulldozers on top of the pile pushing the chips around.  The air was so fragrant with the smell of wood.
