We are still trying to "soak" everything in!   I have looked at a few more photos that I don't believe were posted to any of the daily blog posts of September.....

Tell Us Something We Don't Know.....

Pacific Ocean

Aftermath of Mt. St. Helens.....34 Years Later....

Fire Truck at Mt. Shasta.
There were many signs telling travelers about the level for potential forest fires in all the forested areas.
This Fire Truck was parked across from our Chalet.  The Firemen were on their way home after helping with the forest fire in Weed, California.....7 miles from Mt. Shasta.

Coronado Naval Base
My Dad served in the Navy during World War II, but was sent out from the Great Lakes in Chicago.
My Uncle D. served in the Navy in the 1950's.  I  believe he was stationed at San Diego.

Point Loma, San Diego, California
A seagull and helicopter between the palms.....I couldn't take this shot again even if I tried!

Frank Baum, Author.......
Lived in this quaint yellow house that he rented during his stays in Coronado. This is where he wrote three books in the Oz series: “Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz,” “The Emerald City of Oz” and “The Road to Oz.” Baum also wrote sections of “The Marvelous Land of Oz” while staying in Corornado.
Our Granddaughter will be a Munchkin in the local production of The Wizard of Oz in November, 2014

Flags on the approach to the Coronado Bay Bridge

My Niece Barbra's Artwork.....Water Lilies.   I love the colors and she gave it too me!!

Welcome Home and Welcome Fall!!

We have been home for 5 days....and, we keep saying "a week ago we were in Kansas"
Or, "two weeks ago we were in Coronado" and so on.....
Laundry is finished and put away.
Mail is sorted and recycled.
Trip surprises have been given.
Friends seen.
Phil is back in his shop.
Prayers said.
Amen
