October 2, 2015.....Our Last Day Traveling...and, then We are Home!

Winding up our travels.....and remembering I was soooo ready to get home!!

We enjoyed our visit with my aunt and uncle and my cousin and her nephew.
My uncle was always the camera / movie camera guy at all our family functions.
He had taken movie films of all of us kids when we were little.  He had kept all those reels.
He found a few that he thought we would enjoy and had it set up to enjoy those films when we arrived.
It was a very thoughtful thing to do and I loved every second watching us all as little kids running around and being goofy in front of the camera......ahhhh memories....

We had a nice relaxing dinner at my aunt and uncle's retirement complex.
And, later on we said our good-byes....

First thing in the morning we got on the interstate and headed east.....

Crossing the Mississippi River

About 7 hours later......

We were heading north on State Road 13 in Indiana and there were many combines working their fields of beans.  It was a welcome sight!     It was dusk.

It was just beginning to get dark outside when we got home.
Our family was "hiding" in our house and there were streamers and balloons all over the place!
They jumped up and loudly said "Welcome Home"!!!!!!!!
It was the best feeling ever......so glad to see them and love them up!!
They helped us unload and carry in and we chatted a little....
And, we were home!!!
Thank You, Lord for Journey Mercies!!

Thank you for "letting" me reminisce.....
The trip west was a huge deal for me...for us....
We were so thankful and thrilled to have that experience....
